How do we create an indoor/outdoor carpet that can easily withstand various weather conditions and high traffic and still be sensual and smooth? That not only has a distinct natural look and feel, but is also fully recyclable? Can a carpet made from recycled plastic waste have a texture similar to natural silk? Mediterraneo is a waste-free, timeless collection of indoor- and outdoor carpets that allows for countless lifecycles. Under the umbrella of the Mediterraneo collection Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez have created four additional patterns, born from the natural color range of Mediterraneo. Using the same threads but in different weaves and color mixes, new combinations emerge: Riviera, Malta, Elba, and Corfu.
