Pergola Residence
Algund - Meran, Italy
Architecture, interior design
An architectural design geared to energy-saving, a building that takes its sloping site as an opportunity, borrowing its form from the vine-growing industry. Pergola Hotel has recessed architecture up at the top of the site and a system of terraces at the bottom, working along the lines of a pergola for vines: a tribute to the Algund landscape near Merano. A project coving 2.800 square metres incorporating 12 separate residential units, 2 luxury suites, a breakfast room and a spa equipped with pools and saunas, where traditional-style building in South Tyrol has been updated in line with modernity, offering privacy, flexibility, functionality, ecology, tradition and cutting-edge technology. And a range of natural sensations.
